Today, an impact talk was organized at Soaltee Hotel by Frost and Sullivan, highlighting the importance of technology in the modern day world. Mr. Aroop Zutshi, F&S Global President was the lead speaker who discussed how F&S sees the future of digital technologies and how it can help change lives of people in Nepal and abroad. Transforming data into information, digital technology must be used in ways to bring innovation to each of our sectors so as to create sustainable growth in our economy.

Jaguar Investments attended the 6th SAARC Business Leaders Conclave which is a 3 day event where SAARC’s top leaders, businessmen and investors came together at one stage to discuss ideas to create solutions and opportunities to take South Asia on the path of shared prosperity through economic integration.The event was hosted at Hyatt Regency where the stage was embraced by political and industry leaders from the SAARC countries who shared a common goal of achieving the solutions to create a sustainable impact on society through efficient allocation and implementation of resources in the region.Suraj Vaidya, president of SAARC Chamber of Commerce (SAARC-CCI) — the organizer of the event — said the primary objective of the conclave is to unleash the untapped potential that South Asia has to achieve a sustainable growth in the upcoming future.

Frost and Sullivan staged its flagship event, Growth Innovation and Leadership (GIL) Summit South Asia where delegates were able to explore the opportunities in the wake of digital transformation. The event was held at Soaltee Crown Plaza, where the stage was graced by Aroop Zutshi, GP & MP of Frost and Sullivan, Neeta Joshi (Vision Alignment, Frost and Sullivan), Prerna Mohan, Associate Director, Strategic Planning & Implementation Emerging Market Innovation, Frost and Sullivan and Sarwant Singh, Seniors Partner, Frost & Sullivan. The theme of the event was digital transformation – business and social impact’ integrating, inspiring sessions by industry professionals and Frost & Sullivan’s speaking panel. Jaguar Investments also participated in the summit which has helped us assess our prospects of digitization and its possible impact on the financial market.

With increasing demand for stock market trainings conducted by Jaguar Investments in collaboration with Nepali Paisa, we completed our 5th batch of training at Nepali Paisa’s new office location at Panipokhari. The training session was held between January 16 and January 23, 2018 with 16 total participants. With such trainings, we have been able to educate investors in the share market, which in turn has helped increase our branding as well.

Witnessing steady business growth during the past year, Nepali Paisa has now relocated to a bigger location at Panipokhari from its office at Durbarmarg. The Chairman, Mr. Keshav Shrestha inaugurated the new office on December 14, 2017, which also includes a separate room for conducting various stock market related trainings. With the shift to the new location, Nepali Paisa hopes to provide various services with a better customer experience.

On November 18, 2017, Jaguar Investments successfully conducted its 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Mulberry Hotel, Thamel. Though Jaguar celebrated completion of its fifth year, this was the first AGM held after bringing in new investors as well as officially starting its business operations. At the event, Managing Director, Mr. Niraj Karmacharya, presented company financials and discussed about performance and its future plans. Our recently launched Nepali Paisa android app has just won mBillionth Award for best mobile app held in New Delhi on August 04, 2017. It won the Best App among almost 300 competitors representing various countries in South Asia. The app had been selected as one of the 65 finalists among 294 entries in the competition. This app is the only comprehensive app for Nepalese share market and has been quite popular among stock market participants. It has been helping investors make informed stock market decisions through features like portfolio tracker, technical analysis, charts, etc. As one of our portfolio companies, Jaguar is determined to ensure that Nepali Paisa is the primary choice for investors regarding news and resources related to financial markets.

Continuing our effort to promote literacy in Nepal’s capital market, Jaguar completed the 3rd phase of training that took place from June 25 to July 2, 2017 in collaboration with Nepali Paisa. There was a bigger turnout with 25 participants from various sectors. This is a positive indication that prospective investors are keen on educating themselves for better chance of success in the share market.

Ltd. on May 18, 2017.
